Illegal Pier Construction Detected in Seribu Islands

The Seribu Islands Regency Environment Office (KHL) -has sent memos related to recommendation of the handling illegal pier in Panjang Bawah Island, Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands.

"We'll send memos to the Regent, the island owner who has not permit, Amdal and B3 waste processing permit, as well as causing pollution and environmental damage," disclosed Binsar Siregar, Sub-Division Head of Biotic Ecosystem Damage Reduction for Seribu Islands Environment Office, Friday (12/9).

He stated, during sidak, the island guard could not show permit letter for pier construction, IPAL location and Waste Disposal Site (TPS) for B3 waste, whereas oil splattered on the beach.

Sebira Island Pier Needs Urgent Reparation

"Our recommendation is to close down the construction before there is permit, monitored tightly thus cannot be continued. So, the environment could stay awake," he finished.
